Limits
- A fixed rule matches the word itself and does not understand other phrasings. Use smart replies for open questions.
- The smart bot does not invent answers: when your information has no answer, it follows your Handoff & alerts setting.
- If you reply from the WhatsApp app on your phone, the bot pauses for that conversation on its own. From the dashboard inbox, pause it for the conversation before you reply.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between fixed rules and smart replies?
A fixed rule: a set word arrives and a set reply goes out, good for literal answers like opening hours. Smart replies understand the customer's question however it is worded and answer from your store information. Using both together works best.
Are smart replies included in the subscription?
Yes, with no extra fees and no external account to create. Your plan's monthly message limit is what governs usage.
How do I stop the bot for one customer?
In the inbox, pause that conversation: for a set time, until you resume it, or permanently for that number. If you reply from the WhatsApp app on your phone, it pauses on its own.
